If you can answer yes to any of the above questions then I think we should talk. InsomniaJava Inc is a local micro (150 lbs per week) coffee roaster that has been in business just over two years. We are internet based and have been growing stronger every month. We have always made it our priority to find the best way of getting the freshest coffee to the customer.
(A little banter)
Back not to long ago we were all held captive to canned coffee. We had no control in what was in the coffee, where the coffee beans originated from or most importantly how old the coffee was. Freeze dried or vacuum packed the manufactures tried there best to keep us thinking that there coffee was fresh.
Then came Starbucks and with it a new idea in coffee quality. We now had whole been coffee. This was quite a jump when it came to fresh good tasting coffee. Starbucks did a lot to educate the coffee customer; it offered whole bean coffee to take home and a place to hang out with friends after work or even after school.
After a while even Starbucks was not enough. This was the birth of the smaller coffee house. Sure customers could get a good cup of coffee at Starbucks but the atmosphere was sterile with all that chrome and the florescent lights. Smaller coffee houses offered a more relaxed personalized ambiance that a chain store could never offer.
The subject of fresh coffee can still be a question. The birth of the smaller sized coffee roaster became available not to many years ago. No longer did you need to roast an entire 110 pound bag of coffee at one time. You don’t need to dedicate seating for 20 to a giant fire breathing roaster that would deplete your coffee house of all air conditioning in a few minutes. Large coffee roasters roast so much coffee at once your coffee can’t be fresh by the time you get to use it all.
The subject of fresh coffee has even pushed customers to roasting coffee at home with home roasters. The availability of espresso machines, grinders, and great coffee machines can keep customer in search of a true fresh coffee or espresso drink at home now.
What we can offer to you our customer is coffee roasted onsite in your store or even coffee roasted the day before at our location. Fresh roasted coffee beans should rest about 24 hours before use. All of our coffee has a roast date on the bag. We can package coffee with your label or ours in one pound bags for sale at the counter. We also pack coffee beans in five pound bags for in store use. All bags that we use are foil bags with a one way valve that allows coffee to vent out CO2 but does not allow air inside. Our roaster is a fluid bed roaster that roasts the beans with air heated to 425 degrees. The roaster is powered with 110 volts and uses propane for fuel. The roaster can vent into a hood or through a 5 inch vent line to the outside. Coffee is roasted one pound at a time allowing you to only stock what is needed with out having old coffee sitting on your shelves.
We also offer consulting services in setting up your own coffee roaster onsite. Setup and training your staff in the proper use of the roaster, maintenance, keeping green bean inventory, and packaging included.
Some of the best coffee houses roast onsite avoiding expensive shipping costs, out of inventory status and the worst…… selling old coffee.
If you are looking to upgrade your customers coffee experience and boosting sales then onsite roasting or a local coffee roaster would be a great choice.
Thank you for your time,
